Key challenges
- Drought prone area with extreme low and high temperatures
- Difficult transportation conditions due to sand dunes and sand storms
- It was a remote area with no basic infrastructure
Our approach
We constructed 1 sub-station to evacuate 225 MW power and laid 34 Km of 220 kV EHV line.
- Due to the harsh weather conditions, work between 11 AM to 4 PM was prohibited. We overcame these challenges and completed the project on time with the help of proper planning, a dedicated execution team and by partnering with right vendors.
Impact
Our projects aided in improving the quality of life of people in the vicinity:
- The infrastructure was improved by creating roads and pathways
- We created livelihood opportunities for the people through direct and indirect employment like jobs for security guards, operations and maintenance, temporary turbine cleaning, etc.
