Scope of work

Land Procurement, construction of road, WTG foundation, electrical lines, WTG erection and commissioning.

Key challenges
  • Transportation of heavy equipment’s and WTG material through a complex terrain situated 1100m above sea-level
  • 24×7 working in adverse weather conditions like severe monsoon winds, zero visibility cloud conditions
  • Remote location with lack of basic infrastructure facilities.
Our approach
  • We procured Government land of 700 acres in record time
  • Maharashtra had one of the best renewable energy policies available throughout the country at that time and our team was responsive enough to avail the opportunity
  • We constrcuted 1 sub-station to evacuate 200 MW power and lay 22 Km of 220 kV EHV line
  • The organisation had to scale up from their resource capacity of 20 MW to 200 MW. This was covered in a span of 3 years
  • The team prevailed over adverse weather conditions like severe monsoon winds, zero visibility, cloudy conditions, exposure to poisonous snakes and access to no medical facility
  • Power Evacuation lines running through 300 – 400m high hills to connect to main grid sub-station were constructed
  • To give opportunities to the local community a tie-up was initiated with local engineering colleges for recruitment
Impact

Our projects aided in improving the quality of life of people in the vicinity:

  • The infrastructure was improved by creating roads and pathways
  • We created livelihood opportunities for the people through direct and indirect employment like jobs for security guards, operations and maintenance, temporary turbine cleaning, etc.
