Why invest in

renewable energy

With development being the agenda for most countries across the world, the focus is now on the energy needed for this development and its sources. Global warming and climate change have become top concern for governments and citizens alike. Switching to cleaner, renewable sources of power is the most viable option going forward for sustainable growth. At the same time the renewable energy industry in India which used to be driven by government incentives has come a long way. Today, it is one of the key industries attracting investors from all over the globe offering reliable technology and reduced investment risks.

The following factors have helped the industry –

Strong policy support from the Government to meet its target of 175 GW of renewable power capacity by 2022

Technology improvement resulting in higher Plant Load Factor (PLF)

Significant reduction in capital cost

Ease of availability of debt financing

These factors have made the sector more attractive for investment than the conventional sources and we believe Renewable Energy is poised to not just provide the next level of growth in power generation in the country but also start a systematic replacement of polluting conventional sources. Wind energy, in particular, enjoys proven technology, a well-established and dependable supply chain and large service organizations.
India is already ranked fourth in solar and wind installations in the world and has witnessed an unprecedented growth in the last few years, having added 5.5 GW in both wind and Solar in FY 17.
This growth is expected to be even faster considering the aggressive targets set by the Government, further improvement in technology, and increasing interest from global players requiring over $ 100bn of investments in the next 5 years.

At Skeiron Renewables we have a strong plan for capacity building in line with the national agenda and aim to grow to 3,000 MW over the next three years.
